Our friendly, Painted Lady caterpillars came out of their chrysalis over the weekend...and they looked different! The kindergarteners were surprised to see that the caterpillars had actually turned into real butterflies & that they could actually fly around in the cage. :) Although we had a fun time observing the butterflies in class, we decided to release them back into nature so that the life cycle can continue.
