Playing in the Forest

While we played in the forest, we learned a lot about bears and other animals who live there, but, we also used pretend play to help us to use and understand new vocabulary words.  We took our bears on some "Teddy Bear Picnics" and helped them to climb trees, to fish and to sleep in the cave/den.  Sometimes, we even dressed up like Park Rangers and walked around to make sure that the bears were not getting into the trash cans!
