Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

On Dr. Seuss's birthday, we read a variety of books that he wrote for children.  We also talked about the fact that Dr. Seuss loved to use silly words in his stories as well as a bunch of rhyming words!  We made up some of our own silly words & played a game with rhyming words.  Then, we went to the computer lab for further exploration of of his books.

Our computer specialist taught us how to use some cool, hand-held devices that enabled us to vote on our favorite Dr. Seuss stories & characters.  It was really exciting to see how our opinions compared to those of our classmates.  Lastly, we decided that it would be fun to try Dr. Seuss's famous food dish, green eggs & ham.  Although some of us were skeptical at first, most of us enjoyed our tasty snack.
