Shadow Exploration!

We had fun exploring with light to see if we could make our own shadows around the room.  During our integrated science/social studies/language arts block we read some books about shadows and even guessed if our shadows would be larger or smaller than various objects.  We chased our friends'  shadows on the playground, we measured our own shadows in the classroom and then we created new shadows with our fingers and stick puppets.  Who knew that learning could be so much fun?
