The kindergarteners were excited to see that we had 6 new classmates after returning from spring break. While these new "classmates" are living things, they are much smaller than the typical five year old. Who are they, you ask? Meet our 6, Painted Lady caterpillars...to remain nameless.
By watching these caterpillars in class, we are learning firsthand, what it means to be a living thing. In fact, we have been watching the caterpillars grow and change right in front of our eyes. It has been an amazing experience so far. Now, as we wait for each of them to come out of their chrysalis, we are learning to be patient.
